San Francisco Bay Ferry

In collaboration with the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA), I created a customized map for the San Francisco Bay Ferry and its routes as part of their Cross the Bay, the Ferry Way! campaign. The design assets were adapted into posters, postcards, and mailers distributed to promote ferry use among Bay Area residents, with a special focus on engaging the Latino community.

The campaign rollout included static Instagram posts and behind-the-scenes videos of the creative process. Free ferry vouchers were made available and facilitated throughout the digital campaign using a custom code, keeping the campaign’s mission and vision at the heart of every outreach effort. In response to the overwhelmingly positive local reception, twenty-five signed posters were raffled online to further engage the community, and a signed, downloadable copy was made available to the public for free.

In 2025, WETA received an EPIC Award from the California Association of Public Information Officers for Most Innovative Campaign for Cross the Bay, the Ferry Way!. CAPIO’s EPIC Awards recognize the most creative and effective work in communications and marketing, including campaigns, newsletters, photography, events, writing, websites, and video production.
